Fire Destroys Oakland Landmark
OAKLAND, TN – Fire crews spent the entire day Wednesday on the scene of a fire at a popular Oakland landmark. It started around 9 a.m. at The Shoppes of Anna Renae’s on Highway 194. The century-old building is destroyed. One of the owners says if the fire department had the right equipment, it might not be.
Investigators still don't know what started this fire. The 100-year-old building was home to a tea room a gift and antique shop. It’s a loss one owner says could’ve been prevented.
